Anderson Materials Evaluation (AME) performs analyses of the surface and bulk chemistry of inorganic and organic chemicals. We provide the quantitative elemental and chemical composition of the outer 10 nm of solid chemical materials such as powders, sol-gels, catalysts, and adhesive or sealant interfaces. Our thermal testing capabilities allow us to identify thermal properties of bulk materials (including melting temperature and phase transitions of chemicals, such as polymers). AME can also help with detection of contamination and impurities through the use of numerous techniques.
Other common analyses include testing of chemicals for water content and the volatiles content of paints, insecticides, plastics, adhesives, and sealants. We identify and weigh residues. AME also determines degradation mechanisms, chemical pathways, and shelf-lives for our clients. We frequently perform independent characterizations of chemical and physical properties to verify materials meet specifications and requirements.
We serve chemicals customers with applications in a broad range of industries from consumer goods to industrial applications. Among our many chemical industry customers are Monsanto, Henkel, Huntsman, ExxonMobil Chemical and Cristal Global.
